Investigator's Bios

Tim Ellis

Tim Ellis is a retired Deputy Sheriff with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. His training qualifications include: Traffic Homicide Investigation, Advanced Traffic Crash Investigation, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Field Training Officer, K-9 Handler, and K-9 Instructor. He is a Florida Licensed Private Investigator and has been conducting criminal defense investigations since 2011. Tim has conducted over 750 criminal defense investigations including several high-profile murder cases for the Office of Regional Counsel. He has worked within numerous judicial circuits within the state of Florida and has been qualified as a Police K-9 expert witness at the state and federal court levels.

Jill Tuman

Jill Tuman brings a variety of life experiences to her credit. She is affable, demonstrates a positive attitude, and is a good listener. She is adamant about her beliefs, and has the ability to bring people together.

 

During college, Jill had an internship as a Juvenile Probation officer, which turned into a full-time position for two years. She graduated from University of Florida with a B.S. in Criminal Justice/Police Science and Sociology. She worked as a Deputy Sheriff in Leon County, and a Police Officer for the University of Florida. She received an A.S. Degree from Santa Fe C.C. in Dental Hygiene, and has been licensed for over 25 years to work in dental offices. She was involved in community outreach as a Business Developmental Coordinator also during this time.

 

In 2018, Jill decided to pursue another career. She is a Licensed Private Investigator and has worked on over 100 felony cases and 10 civil cases.

Jill has been active in the community and is currently a Guardian Ad Litem volunteer. She has been involved with her church, Shepherd Road Presbyterian. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and also LVIM, a group that provides education and dental care to low income families.

She was a volunteer at Clarke's House, and led fundraising efforts for this organization that benefitted homeless veterans. In addition, she has worked with the Salvation Army Disaster Relief. For five years, in Alachua County and Polk County Schools, she was a volunteer and worked with children to assist in remedial reading. She has been an Elks Club member and helped serve veterans at the C. James Haley Medical Center in Tampa.
